hmmm...between the 2 I would go with Earl Scheib because I've heard too many horror stories about Maaco. In either case, you should check with the BBB and other places about customer complaints before spending your hard earned money on a paint job.
You might also consider visiting a local mustang club during a meet. The people there will have information about where you can get a good paint job to fit your budget. Also, hot rod paint %26amp; body shops give good paint jobs but they'll be more expensive than earl or maaco.Earl Schelb paint %26amp; body vs. Maaco collision repair %26amp; auto painting?
The old adage ';you get what you pay for'; is applicable here. There are many good auto body shops that can give you a really good paint job for a bit more money than either Earl or Maaco. The biggest rap on both of the economy auto painters is the preparation and without proper prep, the job won't last.
The truth is you'll be hard pressed to match the original paint job on any car but a local body shop with a good reputation is a far better bet than either of the econo painters. You do want this paint job to last longer than a couple of years don't you? Spend a little more now and be far more satisfied later.
Not that familiar with the shops in your area but try asking around at some of the major insurance companies or local car clubs to get some recommendations, then get some estimates and go from there.
Quite honestly, I've been wondering the same question, I've never heard of Earl Schelb, and I hear Maaco is s***. So I guess Earl gets my vote lol.
