i have a 96 chevy silverado and want to repaint the black plastic peices...and i dont want them to look fake.is there paint in cans that are for that?where can i find them?amd also i wanted to paint or dye the vinyl exerior tiem parts that are on the bumopers and window seals..any suggestions to restore them back to original or some kin of dye?Whats is the best paint to use on auto exterior trim?
yes there is a matte finish paint you can find at auto paint retailers called trim paint amazingly enough lol comes in a spray can gives that good flat black look back to the trim pieces. However do not use this on window seals it will flake off as the window seals flex use only on hard plastic pieces. There is a window seal restorer can't remember what it is called it is found at the same place. or you could go to a quality bodyshop and ask they should tell you what to look for and may very well sell you some.......at retail price x2 of course lol. good luck.Whats is the best paint to use on auto exterior trim?
go to advance auto parts and explain all this to them they carry the exact paint you need for all of this,i buy a lot in the spray cans for small projects and it does really good, they also have a good trim paint for what your doing too,its not expensive, but they do have what you need, and will be glad to help you with it,good luck on it.
