The best color are light shades........White, Gray, Silver, Taupe, Tan, etc...What auto paint colors are best for desert areas to keep interiors cool?
I would suggest white or a very light color. Tinting your windows will also help, along with cloth seats instead of leather. Front window shades work wonders, as well.

I'd go with white or tan.
white or silver paint and tint your window reflecting-silver
well anything light colored not that it will help all that much i have lived in Texas all my life I have had many different cars with many different colors of paint and all my cars seemed to get really hot no matter what color they were
I live in Phoenix, and My car is white, but it is no cooler than my silver truck. Just make sure to get your window's tinted.
The lighter the better.
The tint of the glass will mater more than the paint job, sins the glass is what traps the heat inside.
white only
Most any light color will do...I've read on other sites that the Scion White is subject to chipping and scratching easily, not good in a desert climate.

Also tinted windows and a sunroof to release heat out of top.
The lighter colors will not absorb as much light, thus less heat. While the exterior color will be a factor, also consider a lighter interior for the same purpose.

Unfortunately, no matter what color car, in a hot area your car will probably get to 150+ degrees in the summer simply because car interiors are tightly enclosed.
