acrylic enamel is better than acrylic lacquer, but the best is urethane. usually urethane is a dull base with clear on it. as far as good custom paint, house of kolor is great and alsa paint is great.

Dupont Imron is the best paint for custom appearance and durability. They also make a clear coat. Imron is different then most acrylics and as a result is more durable and has a ';deeper'; finish.
