if your talking about clear coating it yes it does help to make it last longer if done right but if not done right it will look bad and have less of a shine to it than it does now,and winter time is bad time to have that done,good luck.Is Polycoating auto paint a good idea?
Poly-coat is only recommended for fresh paint. If your thinking about applying it on existing coat, don't try it. May all the forces be with you.
