a good quality paint job depending on where you live will cost from 1,000 to 1,500 dollars. My only advice to you is to find a shop with a good reputation. Also if possible, do your own prep work. I own a body shop and without any body work at all, (no dents, scratches, etc.) we charge about $3000 for a complete factory paint job. This without changing the original color.


If you keep the car outside, the paint will oxidize and fade if you don't wax and wash it regularly. Don't use commercial car washes, wash it yourself. Take care of your vehicle and it should last you another five years. Regular oil changes and maintenance check ups are a must. There is no reason that a vehicle shouldn't last longer than most do. Cars must be maintained.

To do this vehicle properly and provide a lifetime (owner of record at time of repair only) you need to remove the bumper covers, headlights, turn signals, grille, door moldings, belt moldings, door handles, deck lid emblems need to be replaced, back glass and windshield must be back taped. the entire car will need to be sanded, washed. primed, blocked, then washed again, cleaned with a tack cloth, based, cleared, baked, then color sanded and buffed then all the components put back on the vehicle. The material cost alone for this vehicle would easily be $750.00 to $1000.00 depending on the colot. If it is the pearl white you can add about 1/3 to the refinish cost as this is a three stage paint. NOBODY will paint a complete vehicle and do it right for less than $3500.00 with quality paint and a solid warranty. Do not listen to people who tell you that you can get a complete paint job done the right way for $1500.00. It does not exist. You get what you pay for. A quality shop will give YOU a lifetime warranty.
